*It is recommended to use a teaspoon at a time, up to a tablespoon a day, for Kapha and Vata, and much less for pitta.

How To Make Apples with Lemon Zest & Honey

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole raw apple
  • 1tsp honey
  • 1pinch lemon zest

How To Prepare:

  1. Zest a lemon, (try rolling the lemon along the grater to peel off the ‘yellow layer’ known as the zest).
  2. Next core the apple and cut it into flat horizontal circles. (allows the sweetness of the apple to prevail instead of the more bitter skin).
  3. Arrange the apples on a plate, drizzle with honey and garnish with the lemon zest.
